Knee Kap - Women's Red & Black

The classic woman's denim jacket reimagined as a new medium for storytelling. Letters and numbers from a Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49er's jersey have been removed and rearranged to juxtapose Kap's peaceful call for police reform with the overly aggressive knee holds used by officers on communities of color. Denim and professional sportswear are flawlessly integrated to give the piece the sturdy shape of workwear with the lightness of athletic wear. Accents from the original jersey are hidden throughout. A true one-of-a-kind work of wearable art.

• The tackle twill numbers and polyester shell from a deconstructed Colin Kaepernick jersey have been reworked back into a woman's denim jacket.
• The jacket's side panels have been replaced by the polyester shell of the original 49ers jersey. A trace of stitching remains as a reminder of the piece's original form.
• Letters and numbers have been hand laid and hand-sewn to create the unique dimensions and angles of the piece.
• Original tags and branding have been included on the piece incorporating the Twill™ branded logo
• Other jersey details are hidden throughout
